Problem Sets for Econ 2

Problem sets are not required and will not count as part of students' grades, but are provided as a recommended study guide. The recommendation is that you try to complete the problem set on your own before your discussion section meets and bring your answers to discussion section. Your TA will go over the correct answers during the discussion section meeting.

Problem set 1: due Jan 14-18

• Chapter 5, #4a-f, p. 121 [Note: the "quantity" columns of the table of data for this problem should be labeled "sandwiches per day" rather than "sandwiches per hour"]
• Chapter 12, #4a-f , p. 283

Problem set 2: due Feb 11-15

• Chapter 14, #1-3 and #10, pp. 341-342
• Chapter 15, #2-3, p. 359

Practice exam 1 (answers will be reviewed in discussion section meetings between Wed Jan 23 and Tues Jan 29)

Practice exam 2 (exam will cover Chapters 14-16; answers to practice exam will be reviewed in discussion section meetings between Wed Feb 20 and Tues Feb 26)

Practice final exam (exam will be weighted 30% on Chapters 5 and 12-16 and 70% on Chapter 17-20; answers to practice exam will be reviewed in discussion section meetings between Mon March 10 and Friday March 14)
